Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

People who can afford expensive ICE generally don't need auto loans. Interest rates have had a big impact on the auto market (and housing).

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah, if this was "just" a car company, the whole investment dynamic would change. As we all know (at least most of us), Tesla is so much more - autos, energy, technology and more led by the most consequential CEO and entrepreneur of his time. I recently saw my first Cybertruck in the wild and...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Every time I see a Reuters story I think of the famous Jim Cramer video and how hedgies and others attempt to manipulate media outlets and other sources to affect stock prices. Somebody should investigate Reuters with their anonymous sources and undue influence.

Sounds like your stock portfolio is down. I get it. Rent a Tesla from Hertz until your CT is ready.

I get your point. Most of us signed up for Steve Jobs (aka Elon), not Tim Cook. Tim Cook is a great manager, but the only real thing he has done - product wise - is put out the I-phone 10, 11, 12.... Several years from now, we may get Tesla's version of Tim Cook, but (despite the current...

Just selling cars is too boring. We all picked the wrong quarter to stop sniffing glue. :D

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Keep in mind the average auto loan in Feb. 2023 for new cars was around 7.48%. It is now about 9.68%. Certainly has an effect on sales.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

You provide thoughtful, well-reasoned posts. I am more of the short and perhaps thought-less type. I believe in Tesla/Tsla and have the fortune of having been an investor for 10+ years. I have made a nice profit as a result of my Tsla investments over the years. If I had initially invested...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Keeping in mind your need to prove someone wrong on the internet based on your avatar, what is your take on Tsla? Why are you here on this thread? Do you still believe in Tsla as an investment?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Got your point. How are the other EV stocks doing comparatively? Tesla is the clear cut leader. Also, Tesla is not limited to selling cars as other companies are. Cars are also particularly sensitive to interest rate hikes. Perhaps astute analysis could have predicted the rapid increase in...
