preconditioning for home charger cold weather

It's-35C here so that's what I label as really cold. The car warms the battery before it starts to give it a charge so I set departure time and it generally warms and charges just before I have to depart. That being said I have seen the car battery so cold that it couldn't get it warmed in...

Windscreen crack this morning after defrosting

I had this issue, Northern Ontario Canada here, absolutely no sign of any impact. Put the defroster on one -2C morning and when my wife went to her car she saw it was cracked. I put in for a service request and the mobile ranger came and was able to assess it and confirmed it was not an impact...

Canadian Superchargers now charge per kWh

I just did a trip through Minnesota and most super chargers were 0.35 - 0.40 per kw. Assuming that's USD that's about 0.45-0.52/kw Canadian. That being said I did a trip across Northern Ontario last weekend and upsala, Ignace, dryden were all still charging $0.32-$1.07/minute.

    Cracked Rear Window

All fixed under warranty and while I was there they looked at a rear taillight that had excessive moisture in it and replaced it. Nice drive, great excuse for a road trip. I got a loaner for the day, was about 4.5-5 hours total for the replacement and time for the adhesive to set. I got to...

MYLR Range Towing a Small Utility Trailer with a Quad

Anybody have experience with the range pulling a small 10' utility trailer with a smaller quad on it (about 600lb)? The trailer is about 600lbs so it would be a load of around 1,200 pounds but the trailer has the rear gate/ramp so obviously there's going to be some extra wind resistance. Its...

well its a miserable stormy snowy/icy day but the mobile service team arrived and he looked at the windshield and said he's never seen it before but agrees it was the rear defroster and will set up the replacement under warranty!

    Phone as key working intermittently

Mine seems better since the last few updates but on occasion it won't connect still. I use the app the unlock the doors and then once the car is awake it generally works with my phone. Sometimes the car opens for me but when I press the brake it tells me to put the keycard in place. I put my...

Are you paying for premium connectivity?

I've been paying for it for the 6 months we've had the Teslas. I like it but really its just to stream spotify - given that we can't do the annual price in canada and it is a month to month subscription I have considered letting it cancel and only putting it on for months that we're planning to...
