Now I feel better about buying my Kia. First the massive recall of over 100K cars and now this. Maybe I'll buy one in a few years when they've had time to reflect and understand how to build these cars safely.

You still have to pay $ to activate autopilot even if it has the hardware. I would have the seller take a picture of the screen showing the autopilot is there.

Model 3 is one of the cheapest ways to get autopilot at this point until the 2015s come down in price more.

Tesla has 85Kwh cars listed at $58-$77K. Crazy you bought this for $43.5K. Tesla has increased the price on all CPO cars significantly. Apparently they've determined that these cars reverse depreciate after a certain number of years?

I found a P85 I wanted but couldn't justify paying $50K for a 5 year old car, no warranty, no autopilot, and 50K miles. I've decided to wait on buying a Tesla for 6 months or so until things wash out. Maybe yet another refresh of the S line will reset the market. Model 3 production will help too.

That's more expensive than the 2018 75D with 0 miles and 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Maybe they'll add AP complimentary? Even then it's hard to see how they came up with that price.

There was a CPO 70D that sold for $50,300 with autopilot and 4 yr warranty. 10 or so others sold for less than $55K. It's possible to find them just seems like it's been slow lately.

Spoke with Tesla and was told a lot of the pricing is formula driven and also based on demand. Winter is slower and then it picks up in spring/summer.

Check out the price history for this P85D!!!! You could have had it for $87,100 on 2/21, but it aged like a fine wine in Tesla's CPO warehouse, increasing in value to $100K+ by 3/1. The last few days the wine has begun to lose its taste, dropping to $96.8K. Please help me. 2018-03-05: $96,800...
