    Hansshow Mini dash display 5.16"

So, I FINALLY got the replacement screen, and it is far more faulty than the last one! 🤬 Can’t believe it, waited almost 4 months for it, and had to pay £25 to return the old one!

Has anyone had this issue with their screen? It started small, but now it is growing and spreading across the screen!

Yes, in the google drive link, along with the update files and readme file.

I just did the update. I can confirm that a 16gb drive works, formatted to Fat32 4096 bytes I now have a different startup screen, with a Model Y instead of the Roadster!

Mainly it just not connecting, lots of fiddling that isn’t great when starting a journey.

The Android Auto & Carplay screens are very buggy, but the youtube reviewers never seem to mention this, it’s as if they’re being paid to promote the devices! 🤔 Even oem CP/AA in cars can be very temperamental, so I really wouldn’t bother with cheap Chinese aftermarket ones.

Yes, it auto dims like the main display, and is always a bit dimmer than the main display. Also on auto it switches to dark mode at night.

Yeah i had one of these, it was basically a gateway drug that lead to me getting the 5.16” screen! 😂

I have now asked them, and this is their reply: ”Regarding the issue of automatic driving, the blue bar, the software engineer is still testing the software, and will send it to you after the test software is available” So looks like a new firmware is in the pipeline! I have replied asking...

On LHD maybe, but on RHD it’s definitely easier to do it this way, as the knee panel has to come off anyway.

Just noticed the firmware version they sent you is newer than mine! Could you possibly share it with me so I can try and fix the lack of hands on wheel flashing please? 🙏

I know, I’m very disappointed about it, not sure what I can do, I can’t reach out to Hansshow as I didn’t buy it directly from them. Maybe there’s a firmware update, if anyone finds a newer version than this please let me know:

You don’t actually need to take the dash top off on LHD either, but both footwell panels need to be removed and the cable threaded behind the centre console. This is how its done:

My wheel does turns blue. Mine is Ryzen, so guess I should have the blue flashing?
