Update:
Got my car back from the body shop. You would never even know the damage occurred.
It took 4 months for my car to get fixed. 2 weeks in, The body shop told me the first piece of glass came in broken and that they had to order it again. After weeks of waiting for the 2nd glass order...
Update:
Called my local service center again. They said I can personally drive down, purchase glass from them (which they have in stock), and deliver it to my body shop.
Thoughts? Any tips on how to transport a large piece of slightly curved glass?
P.S. how the fu<k is there a crate of...
Service center is out because the frame rails need repair right where the glass is. My first call was to Tesla SC and that's what they told me.
I emailed my insurance agent and asked if we can try a different shop.
Update for anyone following: STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE NEW GLASS FROM TESLA. I call the shop every week hoping "squeaky wheel gets the grease" but squeaky wheel hasn't gotten *sugar*.
Coming up on 4 months and still no repairs done from this accident.
Shop INSISTS it's a Tesla problem...
It's April 24th now and my Tesla is still in my driveway with broken roof glass and dented frame rails waiting for Tesla to deliver the new glass to the shop. *Supposedly* the new glass got to the shop on March 8th but arrived broken. Not sure if truthful or the shop trying to buy more time on...

My PB is always occurring on stretches of freeway/highway with no changes in traffic flow or speed limit. For example, this stretch of road is my biggest culprit. My most recent event two days ago occurred on Highway 46 (approximately in this spot). I drive this highway every 4 days. I get...
I highlighted exactly where you are correct. It is a software issue that causes phantom braking combined with its perception of an obstacle from the camera (hardware). In my case, my Tesla cameras see mirages on the desert road ahead of me and for some reason register it as an 18-wheeler that...
Try wiping them down with some isopropyl alcohol? Maybe some kind of manufacturing oil on them? Otherwise an easy fix would be to slap some skateboarding grip tape on them and put a Mountain Dew in the cupholder
I commute from the California coast to the California valley/desert 2x a week. Holy mother of God, when I get into the valley and there are mirages on the road horizon, my 2023 MYLR and 2022 M3LR both will decelerate/brake so hard from 70 MPH autopilot that my stomach feels like it is going to...
