    Coronavirus

No. We were never contacted by anybody other than a quick phone call from the UW lab that ran the test, and a followup email. No recommendations for quarantine, or care, no contact from health department, etc.

    Coronavirus

Quick update to my personal situation. I woke up this morning and felt significantly better. Much less fatigued than I have for the last 7 days. My wife is also starting to feel better. I am feeling very confident at this point that our Covid cases were very mild ones, and are going to stay...

    Coronavirus

I signed up yesterday, and am waiting for the test kit to arrive.

    Coronavirus

We are both mid 40's. Very healthy, not overweight, exercise regularly.

    Coronavirus

We both had slightly sore throats and irritated sinus with periods of very minor headaches for a few days leading up to it. At the time we thought it was probably seasonal allergies as the weather here has just started to warm up a little, and pollen is starting. We had been monitoring our...

    Coronavirus

I do not have an answer for that one, but anacdotally it seems to spread around her work place alarmingly fast, and efficiently. Seemed an order of magnitude more infectious than previous virus they had dealt with. She was very careful coming home to leave shoes outside, immediately take off...

    Coronavirus

I think I might have the distinction of being the first COVID-19 positive member of TMC. My wife is a provider in Kirkland WA, and was exposed at work. She came down with symptoms Sunday evening, and I came down with almost the exact same symptoms a few hours later. We were only able to get...

I hope you come back after here after you have treated a couple dozen cases and comment on whether or not you still think this was the right strategy.

Mostly accurate article about events at Life Care center in the last week. "Officials had said 10 workers from the Centers for Disease Control were supposed to fly into Seattle, and beeline for Kirkland, but the journalist hadn’t seen them. Families said they hadn't seen them either. Calls to...

    Coronavirus

As I Tesla investor I would think you would be more tuned in to the dynamics here. Nobody is worried about the 3,500 deaths in 2 months, they are worried about exponential growth. Same reason we don't value Tesla on it's average 2019 production numbers. We value it based on it's probable...

    Coronavirus

No. I am fine. I may have had a mild case a few weeks ago. Even if I wanted to desperately, it is simply not possible right now unless I were to fly to Germany where they are apparently perfect. Nobody that is not admitted to a hospital is getting tested in Washington right now. You can not...

    Coronavirus

There has been press camped out in front of Life Care Center in Kirkland 24/7 since Saturday. They have been on the front page of every major news paper in the world for days. How many pictures have you seen of CDC teams coming or going from the building? The CDC is doing exactly nothing in...

    Coronavirus

This good advice is simply impossible to follow in Washington State right now. They have only tested 250 people in the entire state as of yesterday. The only people that can get tested are the ones that have been admitted to the hospital. Hopefully this will change very soon.

    Coronavirus

You might be right the 6% fatality is too high, but these things can easily go a couple months before being detected, when nobody knows it is in the community, and there is no test for it. Milder cases that don't require hospitalization are just thought of as some crazy new flu bug that is...

    Coronavirus

To make the statement that US cases are not growing exponentially based on testing data is ridiculous. At the King County press conference yesterday they clearly said that only about 250 people in the entire state of Washington have been tested so far. And that they have not tested any of the...
