Aptera wants to adopt Tesla’s charge connector for its solar electric car https://electrek.co/2022/06/21/aptera-wants-adopt-tesla-charge-connector-solar-electric-car/

Who can catch Tesla ? They seem to be experiencing exponential growth…..

If Tesla is outproducing everyone combined, why is the EV charging plug "standard" a J1772/CCS hack and not Tesla's, which is clearly much better designed?

    Mobile Connector Alternatives

    Lectron makes one. https://ev-lectron.com/collections/tesla-owners/products/lectron-level-2-charger-16a-32a-with-modular-plug-nema-5-15-14-50-portable-charger-compatible-with-tesla-model-s-model-x-model-3-and-model-y

Is this damage justified for $4500?

I had a similar repair done and it was $8K.

Front Seat Plastic Side Panel Falling Off From Center

    Yup it's all one piece.

Toyota halting sales of EV because wheel can fall off?

Is it because the electric motors don't use regular axles? Otherwise it's a very basic component that's already been mastered for centuries.

Model Y rear windshield curvature gap excessive?

The lower right looks raised too.

    14-50 extension cords okay?

That extension cord looks very thin. I got another one off Amazon and it's very thick, over one inch in cross section. It stays significantly cooler than the UMC charging cable.

Acceleration boost upgrade, no software update needed?

Not even a line of code, just a flag from 0 to 1.

Hypothetically what would be worse for my battery longevity?

Even 80% is too high. If you can keep it below 70% or preferably 60%. In your case I would just charge to 90% since you're not staying at that high SOC very long based on the amount of driving you do. Just make sure it's not charged to 90% until right before you leave in the morning.

    Another charging battery life thread

Is Depth of Charge more important or State of Charge more important? If I charge to 75% and drive to 50%, should I recharge back to 75%? (Less Depth of Charge) Or should I wait until 25% to recharge? (Less State of Charge)

How to erase your current trip for Safety Score

Even if I granny feather the brake I get hit with the hard braking penalty. The regen braking brakes harder than I do.
