Been following Tesla for years and I intend to get a used model S or new model 3 at some point (i haven't reserved..) saving up for a wedding will most likely reserve after that.

There is a small part of me that would like the model Y to be about the size and shape of a mini Cooper with specs better than a JCW version.

Great point, I hope people realize they are not going to get $7500 back from the IRS just because they bought a Tesla. (I think most uninformed people are thinking they may get a tax refund instead of a tax credit.)

If I could have the option the have unplugged performance work directly with Tesla and get an aggressive body kit to match performance upgrades (I'm thinking BMW M3 body vs 3-series) that would one of my options as well.

Matte grey could have been an upgraded version having model S or x door handles.

I'm not reserving...saving for a wedding. I do plan on getting the model 3 when production ramps up. I'd like to buy it flat out no car note at all.

Is it safe to assume Tesla will make over $1,000,000 today in reservations alone?

2014 Mercedes CLA 250 and we'll eventually get rid of the wife's Nissan 370 Z as well for either a Model 3 or future Tesla vehicle.

Maybe at some point they'll look at selling the Model 3 platform itself, and other companies can build whatever they want on top of it.

If it's based upon Model 3 platform are we essentially looking at a 3 door version of the Model 3?

If I had to guess (no actual knowledge just yet) I'd say it's a joint venture between Tesla and Atlantic Station. Atlantic Station is a live work shop community so there are ample shops and restaurants to go to while your Tesla is charging. Ideally, I'm sure Tesla's views it as a destination...
