    Phone key doesn't always connect

This has started happening to me in the last few weeks. Totally reliable before then. Now I'm worried about getting locked out when I go for a bike ride and don't take my card key.

    Tow package

This is completely standard outside the US: Model 3 Owner's Manual | Tesla I think it may even part of EU vehicle standards and Tesla was forced to offer a tow package in the EU.

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

I finally got my NFC tags yesterday. They are only detected within about half an inch of the notch at the top of the phone. So not much point putting the sticker on the magsafe mount itself

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

I'm using an iPhone 13 mini.... BUT my NFC stickers haven't even arrived from Amazon yet. You perhaps meant to ask @dene30, who originally mentioned the idea? I don't know if it's OK to put an NFS sticker on my magsafe charger - though they apparently have a builtin NFC tag themselves! Apple...

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

Sounds useful ... could you point me at instructions on how to do this? (doesn't the NFC sticker interfere with the magsafe charging? or is there somewhere you can stick it other than the charging disc?) UPDATE: I found this youtube video that has all the info I need and ordered these NFC...

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

My P0 requirements for using this would be: 1. The UI doesn't suddenly disappear when text messages/notification from other iphone apps arrive 2. Decent navigation support that's well integrated 3. Absolutely minimal setup hassle each time I get into the car Having speed, turn signal and...

Model 3 receiver hitch for bike rack?

That's good to know! I had a StealthHitch on my BMW M4 and really loved it for carrying bikes. The locking/release mechanism is great. I was thinking of putting one on my M3P but got worried about the corrosion issue (since I lease the car) and went for a seasucker instead. Both great options...

Model 3 receiver hitch for bike rack?

Also be sure to check out the articles on galvanic corrosion of Tesla bodywork caused by after-market hitches. The photos are a bit disturbing! e.g. Tesla Model S hitch by Torklift (3 year update): Eaten alive

    May 2020+ Model 3 have J1962 (OBD-2 style) connector for third-parties (including 12V)

Same here - I have a 2021 US spec M3P and the OBD-II connector is not present behind the driver footwell panel.

Safe to disconnect new 12V (15.5V) Lithium Ion battery for OBDII Harness?

I just checked on my 2021 M3P and there is no OBD-II connector behind the driver footwell cover :-(

Safe to disconnect new 12V (15.5V) Lithium Ion battery for OBDII Harness?

To clarify, are you saying that there was a hidden OBD-II port on your US spec Model3 (what year?)

Safe to disconnect new 12V (15.5V) Lithium Ion battery for OBDII Harness?

Another link to a service manual showing an OBD connector on a Model 3 in the driver footwell. (this one says APAC only, but that may predate 2020) https://www.reichwein.it/manuals/Tesla_Model3/ServiceManual/index.htmlindex.html_GUID-9E8372EB-55A4-4F04-A950-5D769CD36C14 Not sure how to remove...

The document linked in my post shows a connector with the following pinout:

Safe to disconnect new 12V (15.5V) Lithium Ion battery for OBDII Harness?

...if it exists! [I'm looking into this because I'm thinking of buying a HUDWAY Drive Tesla version, and don't want to have to run wires to the 12V accessory socket!]
