Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

I disconnect HV and 12v battery.

None that I can notice. It just goes back to normal.

Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

Another update (2024.3.25) and another instance of trunk failing to open. Update was performed with trunk 2 wire cable disconnected. Power cycle fixes the problem. Very annoying

    Lost Power Steering.

I should also note that at first loss of power steering was intermittent. Only after I took the connector out and cleaned it, it failed completely.

    Lost Power Steering.

2020 SR+ They don’t service broken parts, they just replace them. It so happens that the corroded pin is attached to $2300 or so part. Very sad

    Lost Power Steering.

I had similar issue. Problem turned out that electrical connector to steering rack power supply has corroded. It’s unclear how water got into it, but the whole pin disintegrated. Probably took some time to fully corrode. Check out the top pin in the pic. Service said the whole steering rack and...

Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

Would be good if someone could confirm my observations are reproducible

Hard reset by disconnecting hv and 12 volt fixed it

Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

I’m in the same boat here. Today attempted update from 2024.3.10 to 2024.3.15 with trunk 2 pin cable disconnected. After the update, trunk no longer opens at all. Not physically or via computer display. Trying reinstall via service menu with trunk connected to see if that fixes it.

Turns out this is caused by trunk retrofit and recent software bug discussed here Thread

Yet another “vehicle won’t sleep” thread

As mentioned earlier replacing 12v did not help. Factory reset did not help either. I’ve acquired 12v monitor and I can precisely tell how many sleep wake cycles occur overnight. I now worry about high voltage contractors wearing out prematurely because of this cycling

Ugh, spoke too soon. Pattern of sleep/wake cycle reappeared overnight. Must be something else.

Replaced 12v and the issue seems to be resolved

Yet another “vehicle won’t sleep” thread

I've failed to mention that I tried this as well, via service menu. However, given how fast it "re-installed" I am doubting it reinstalls everything.. Tesla service said they'll test 12v for me. If all else fails, I'll replace the 12v.
