I swapped my all-season wheels off for my winters this season, and noticed the rears are balding (mostly middle and inwards, the outside looks OK). So it's time to get new tires. 3 years isn't too bad I guess. Time to bring this thread back up and see if there are anything new with tires lately...

Probably going with the Rivian R1S in a few years. The extreme sloped hatch in both the Y and X have been a big problem for our needs (large dog), so hoping to get something like an X without the super sloped roof. I get why it's this way, but I'll need something better.

It'll really depend on the headwinds. I've done 140 miles in pretty bad conditions and still had 20% left. I think you should be alright. Find some kind of plug on the way (if no superchargers, look for other types of chargers).

It's hard to tell about how much space, width-wise there is. But that might be too much. I'm not sure how I can gauge that for you.

I'm going into the service center next week to get my spoiler fixed/replaced again. I got my car April 2020, and it's been replaced twice already. Luckily they're still offering a warranty on it I guess, so the fix/replacement will be free.

I have a MYP and I got a set of TSportline TY115 20" with dedicated winter tires. I live in CA where there's no snow around where I live, but I spend 30 days at a time in the mountains where there's snow in the winter. I just throw on my snow setup in December, and make the drive. Even driving...

The 285/40/21 michelin A/S are still being shipped to my tire store, about 1 week later than expected. Hope to get them on by next week and I'll report back.

Yes, there were a few threads about people with this exact tire installed. It's only a slight rub when parking, but even then you're going so slowly that there's no wear/tear on it and just a slight smudge on the plastic of the wheel well on the fronts.

Would these be better than the 265/40 and 285/40 A/S tires? I was thinking about those to get a little more height/rubber, even though they'll slightly rub when parking.

Anyone know if America's Tire will install tires that aren't OEM? Their website isn't letting me order.
