Totally agree with Estes Park, CO SC. 16 year-odd years later I imagine it still looks similar. Beautiful ride down the mountain! I think Loveland was the next stop. The trick with Mt Shasta is to park and charge at the V2’s and walk across the street to the BW for relief. If traveling solo...

Yes, we saw that on our Eclipse trip quite a lot. Sometimes reading the “truck” speed sign, some times reading a frontage road speed limit sigh. Highly annoying. Like @JSergeant we were only on TACC.

We didn’t know any better back then! Plus, they were labors of love. All well and good until one corner of a roof rack fails doing 65mph (in the rain and car introduced “wind”), just S of Superior and the near 200hrs of labor from 5-6 people (initially) had us limping in to a small outfitter N...

Unless there is construction, or an accident. I’ve probably spent an entire 24 hrs of my life stuck going either E or W in Glenwood Canyon. They were boring the Hanging Lake tunnel (just E of this pick, if I have it right) when I was living in Avon back in the early 90s. And do mind the caution...

Prescott and Payson held some of my AZ attraction in my five+ years in the Phoenix area in the early 90’s.

@theflyer CO 24 Leadville to Minturn is worth a trip. Leadville, CO is worth a passing visit. Moab, UT to Cisco can be done in any direction, NE or SW IMO. I took one of the prettier pictures back in the OG NKYTA days. I wouldn’t do either at night (oops on that, 8’ Elk around a curve coming...

Juneteenth I’ll be headed via Mojave and Salt Lake to Denver if that meshes for a meetup.
