Buy Model 3 Now or Wait? [jan 2023]

I just recently received my OR registration and I filled out my rebate online. I am hoping it goes thru. Oregon is so squirrelly on things.

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

There is nothing in that article stating the estimates is based upon the EPA. So, please provide that information. And no, outrageous claims does not mean it is true. Lets wait until the facts, as in actual data points, are out on CATL's new pack rather than the companies' hearsay. That is my...

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

I am not buying. Tesla is all about making cars cheaper. If there was a cheaper battery from CATL with more range, Tesla would be on it. Funny how a car has been out since January and we know nothing about the capacity of the pack or cost? I will wait for the actual data.

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

I luv my Iron Man car (lfp) :) But the these China batteries are going to be an issue as the Fed credit will not apply to these cars. The China battery does seem fantastic. However, there has been a lot of outrageous claims related to battery technology. I want to see it before I believe...

Why it is important to be in a safe car.

The final insult was the tire came bounding up and hit the car again in the rear.

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

I have feeling the big change for the new M3 is the battery pack. Tesla has been sending out notices that said it is unlikely that the M3 RWD will get any of the revised FED Credit due to the Prismatic LFP battery that is made in China. Will Tesla continue with the current Prismatic LFP...

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

this nickel and dime cost cutting is a bit too much for the price of these EVs. I would pay few extra hundred dollars for these little extras; hanging hooks, ventilated front seats, floor mats... When a cheap KIA Soul has more features and extras than our high priced EV, people are going to...

    LFP to 100% Each Week—Assumptions?

Agreed. I like the idea to just not dip below 10-15% and you should be fine. I will definite do 100% within a month timeframe but it it won't be a weekly occurrence. I just don't drive that much. One of the reasons I went for the M3 is price and the LFP battery. LFP batteries are not bullet...

    LFP to 100% Each Week—Assumptions?

Scientist dissentions is not heard. They are silent for good reason. The ones that are brave enough to stand up and disprove the false assertions are ostracized with fundings eliminated. I can provide several examples of this happening in Anthropology, Astronomy, Climatology, and other...

Does installing a hitch void your M3 warranty?

here is what I found in the manual about towing. It refers to a trailer and not a bike rack or hitch basket. But your noted concern is valid and gives me pause.

Does installing a hitch void your M3 warranty?

I am thinking of adding a hitch to my M3 SR. You recommended the Stealth hitch. Do you have any advice on where I can get one installed?

    LFP to 100% Each Week—Assumptions?

I rarely charged to 100% I never dropped below 30% and hardly charged over 80%.

    LFP to 100% Each Week—Assumptions?

Tesla didn't develop anything concerning LFP. CATL did. And, thank goodness for that. CATL creates the battery pack and ships it to Tesla. CATL are the premiere experts in battery technology. I think their LFP technology will eclipse Tesla's 4680 battery production as they will keep...
