Proof of insurance for a test drive?

I think you have a valid reason to be upset if they didn't tell you beforehand that you'd need proof of insurance. (Although, most major insurance providers have a way for you get this electronically though your phone in the US at least.) If cancelling your order would somehow make you feel...

    Supercharger - South Boston, VA

I saw a post on Facebook today that this was up and running. Anyone been by?

    Dominion Energy has no shame.

    Supercharger - South Boston, VA

How would having a picture of that make it go quicker? :p in seriousness though, that’ll have to be somebody else. I’m not heading back that way for a while.

    Idle fee scam?

I don't really understand the saltiness from the folks who bought an S when free supercharging was still a thing. I think there's a difference between "free supercharging" and "free blocking the supercharger after you're done charging". This is kind of like being upset that the library...

    Supercharger - South Boston, VA

The cabinet is still covered and the chargers aren’t lit up. Otherwise looks ready to go when they get power hooked up…. And the giant pile of gravel cleaned up.

    Supercharger - South Boston, VA

I’ll be going past it later today on my way back to Virginia Beach. I’ll pull in and take a look.

California HOV sticker?? Lol .. really????

It's hard for enthusiasts like us to comprehend, but there are people out there who can't tell a Tesla from Toyota Corolla. You'd think that LEOs would be better at identifying vehicles than the general population, but I know two different people who have gotten citations (not for HOV...

    Lead Recycling: the Core Charge

I've gotten small power sports flooded batteries shipped to me in the past. They ship dry with the electrolyte separate. Then you have to fill it yourself and charge it up, which is less convenient and more hazardous than most people want to deal with.

    Supercharger - Virginia Beach, VA

I haven't been by since it opened, but there are multiple posts on facebook and check-ins on Plugshare that show it's functional. My LR M3 was charged to 87% when I picked it up and I got back to south VB with 44% despite 2 hours stuck in tunnel traffic. If it looks like you'll cut it close...

I wonder if the delay is on Dominion’s end.

Parking in Annapolis for a month

I had some friends who used to long term park at Mears Marina in Eastport without having a boat there. This was over 15 years ago though... not sure if the marina still does that. There are a few garages in Eastport too. Might be worth a look. It's only a 15 or so minute walk from Main St...

Walk-Away Door Lock Doesn't Work Near Home

Agree that 0.5km is excessive. The 99% position accuracy of GPS is on the order of 12m or so, assuming worst case DOP. Even if they were trying to give some leeway for any kind of multipathing or signal interference from being inside a garage, I can't see that error approaching anywhere near...

Walk-Away Door Lock Doesn't Work Near Home

Could they have done this intentionally to prevent GPS inaccuracies that would come from being parked inside a garage interfering with the "exclude home" feature? 1200' is pretty far though... almost 1/4 mile. Have you tried any spots the same distance away but in other directions from your house?

Is it possible to short circuit from charging on a 110

Ooops. Saw it under “what’s new”. Didn’t think to check the OP date.
