    Charge port not opening

This morning I decided to try and pry it open and got it open. Then it wouldn't close. LOL! So I had to force it to close too, but now it's functioning normally again so I'm charging the car and we'll see how it does. I'm not replacing it if it's just going to be an intermittent issue that I can...

    Charge port not opening

This is mostly just venting, but if anyone has any ideas that I can try to correct this, I'd appreciate it. I went out to my garage tonight to plug my car in and the port would not open. I tried the button on the charging cable. I tried pressing on the door itself. I tried pushing the icon on...

    Camping Charging question

I did think this! LOL I reserved a cabin that has A/C so I won't need to use my car for that. Not as cheap as sleeping in the car, but worth it for the peace of mind that I won't be using up power faster than I can replace it.

    Camping Charging question

The trickle speed will be fine since the car won't be driven again for a couple days. I just wanted to be sure the 5-15 will be able to plug into the outlet of a 15amp campground hookup. I hear you. If you're gonna package it up and put a label on it, then take it to the post office in a...

    Camping Charging question

I'm not a camper, but my daughter has begged me to take her camping so we can get out of the house while still social distancing ourselves from others. We picked a place and reserved a spot that has a 15amp hookup. The only adapter I have for plugging my car in is the 5-15 that came with it. I'm...

    Did i go overboard ...

I don't think I ever was so giddy about getting a new car as I was when I ordered my Tesla! It's fun to look at all the accessories and read the forums and so on. But in the end you need to make the choices that will be best for your lifestyle. A lot of people on here are really into modifying...

Did your SR+ get rear seat heaters?

Yeah, maybe we'll have it by next winter. LOL!

A most uncomfortable road trip because...

I didn't drive my Tesla. I took my husband's Mazda 3 (with a manual transmission) on a trip because I just didn't want to extend the length of it to charge and because there was no way to charge my car at all at my destination. Stupidly left during rush hour. That was not fun for my left leg as...

    Seat adjuster knob broke off

So my daughter was trying to adjust the front passenger seat this morning and the adjuster knob that moves the back of the seat forward and backward just came off in her hand. She didn't do anything unusual, just reached down and pressed on it to adjust it back like she's done without problem on...

Did your SR+ get rear seat heaters?

Someone mentioned in another thread that Tesla pushed an update for SR+ owners to have rear seat heaters. I have yet to see that happen with my car. I have no software updates waiting and the only upgrade available for me is FSD. No rear seat heaters. Has anyone gotten this?

Sudden unexpected shift from Hold to Park at very low speed

Hmm.... I don't think lack of seat belt would do it. I sometimes back down my driveway with no seat belt on to get my mail. Don't judge me! If it's pouring rain I'd rather take my car! LOL But it's never put the car into P for that. Just dings at me to buckle up. The times when it has put it...

Any experience with 3 adults in the backseat on a trip

So true! But the 70 year olds complained too and that was a shorter trip, like 40 minutes. I just wouldn't do 3 people in the back for a road trip. It's not comfortable for that long of a ride.

    SR Purchasing Doubts

Oh, a note on relying on seat heating rather than cabin heating. I do that some, but I find I still get chilly, not cold though. But the bigger problem for me is that the SR+ only has seat heaters in the front and I often have a kid in the back. We carry a blanket in the car for them and...
