Any advice on how to proceed (trouble with lease buy out)...

About two weeks ago, I completed the buyout package and wired Tesla the money they requested and got emails confirming they received everything and that they would be sending me my title. I recently received an email from them saying the buyout request has been canceled and then another one two...

    New Wrap....Second Time Around

Bought it new in 2020. Original color was white and I wrapped it in Satin Pearl White. Just had it wrapped again in Matte Military Green. Dash was done in carbon fiber. Where I am in Florida right now there is a Ferrari show taking place. When I drove up they all pulled out their phones to take...

Tesla Christmas update 2020.48.26 no boombox ?

Here in the US with a Feb 2020 Model X, there is no external speaker. If there was, you would hear the "woo-woo" sound the car makes when it moves under 20mph. My wife's brand new Model S has the external speaker and I'll be playing around with it today testing out this new Xmas download.

Blog Public Beta for Starlink Internet Service Coming Soon

"....speeds capable of streaming “multiple HD movies at once and still have bandwidth to spare.” Generally, you need 5 mbs to stream HD, so if by "multiple" Musk means 2, then we're looking at 10 mbs for Starlink plus whatever "bandwidth to spare" means. I'm not complaining though. Where my...

California to end gasoline car sales by 2035

In a letter to Mr. Newsom on Monday, EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said a statewide shift to electric vehicles would strain California’s electric grid. “California’s record of rolling blackouts—unprecedented in size and scope—coupled with recent requests to neighboring states for power begs...

Blog Tesla Plans Original Cars for Berlin, Shanghai Factories

Tesla will make the "skateboard", the part of the car that includes power, braking, steering, suspension, etc. Smaller plants will take care of the relative simplicity of assembling upper bodies and will allow regional and local manufacturers to flourish. Instead of large, dedicated ships...

SLS - On the Scent of Inevitable Capitulation

I read your headline quickly and thought I was reading a quote from Biden (not Bolden). Threw me off for a second.

Blog Musk Hypes ‘Exciting Things’ for Battery Day

About Tesla stock. The easy part was knowing when to buy it. The hard is part is knowing when to sell it. But everytime I think about selling it, I drive my Model X and think there is no way I'm selling this stock.

Blog Tesla Shows Off Production Capability at Giga Shanghai

They corrected the press release. This was NOT time-release. This was shot in real time. Those Asians put the Westerners to shame.

Blog Musk Touts ‘Quantum Leap” in Full Self-Driving Performance

Because of Tesla, I am now able to go anywhere in perfect safety without ever having to touch the steering wheel, the brake or the electron accelerator pedal (the "gas" pedal). I've simply taken a tiny bit of the profits I've garnered from Tesla stock and hired myself a chauffeur. Have a nice...

Blog Musk Touts ‘Quantum Leap” in Full Self-Driving Performance

Just because FSD may be an "incredibly difficult problem" for you. doesn't mean it's an incredibly difficult problem for Tesla engineers. FSD is not that difficult.

    Warning about accepting delivery

Another delivery tip.... Be sure to check the trunk with a magnifying glass for dust mites. Also, under the floor mats for loose mosquito wings. And the tire treads for pebbles.
