Auto Wipers Triggered by Specific Types of Street Lights

What did you use to clean the windscreen? It was suggested earlier in the thread to try rubbing alcohol which I've not tried yet.

Auto Wipers Triggered by Specific Types of Street Lights

Literally happens every time I pass the same section of street lights when it's dark. I'll try cleaning the windscreen as suggested and will also report to Tesla.

Auto Wipers Triggered by Specific Types of Street Lights

Have been meaning to post this for a while but while driving at night along the Kent section of the M25 and also the Essex section of the A13 last night, the auto wipers triggered yet again at the same sections where the street lights changed to a more orangy/yellowish hue. It happens every...

    Octopus Energy Saving Sessions

Any tips on how to read the graphs/tables to identify low priced/Saving Session days? I looked at those dates (as an amateur!) but nothing jumped out at me to flag those as Saving Session days. I'm on Agile and looking for ways of seeing more than 24hrs in advance what the pricing could look...

I had a call from as sales representative at Tesla today...

@ACarneiro I'm in a similar position to you as I am cancelling my M3LR order which was due for delivery this month and keeping my 2019 M3LR. However, Tesla are refusing to refund my £200 deposit. I've read the various threads about this and am in a back and forth via email to inform Tesla about...

6,000 Free Supercharger Miles for Taking Delivery by Dec 31st

Just received this from Tesla....not sure if it was related to me recently asking for my delivery date to be moved from Dec to Jan or whether this has gone to a more general group. At peak rate of 50p kWh that's effectively a £3,000 "discount" if you would have used Superchargers for those miles...

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Have not looked at mobile repair as the two bodyshops I've been to so far have both said the same....it's a deep scratch and they only way it will look like new is with a respray...and the pearlescent paint is the complication as it takes time to get it matched/blended properly. I've decided to...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Datapoint - taking delivery of my M3LR around 14th Dec (ordered in April + matched to a VIN 8 days ago), the Tesla rep checked the vehicle spec and confirmed no USS are fitted.

    Unprovoked road rage...

Well not a waste of time actually....I was informed the driver was being charged with the offences of Dangerous Driving and No Insurance. Whatever their calculations were regarding the speed (and I assume they wouldn't need an exact speed, just an estimated figure that showed the level of...

    Unprovoked road rage...

There's a website which links to each Police Force where you can automatically upload camera footage and log an incident although I'm not sure how many are followed-up - national-dash-cam-safety-portal I sent this clip to Herts Police - They initially decided not to take action but after I...

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

I've had two quotes now and they are both similar - £900 and £840. The scratch is deep and they both said the pearlescent paint is a real pain to work with and it takes time to get it properly blended to the rest of the car. Both paintshops also deal with a lot of Teslas so I'm pretty confident...

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

I believe so. There's a number of reports of people submitting their footage to their insurance company/local Police and successful claims/actions as a result. Sentry works - £1200 costs against person that keyed parked Tesla

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Thanks @WIIXM @rowedav...I just recalculated and it's actually +£115 and not +£60 but either way, I think the maths still work out better by making a claim.

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Quick straw poll ref claiming on insurance vs paying for the repair myself: Insurance claim = £250 excess Pay myself = £900....when I get new quotes and delcare the claim as £900 Vandalism/Malicious Damage, the premuim increases by £115 I have 20+ years without ever claiming along with...

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Not sure tbh. I've seen figures of 10% per 24hrs but I guess it would depend on the number of activations. I'll be monitoring mine to see what the drain looks like.
