I'm not going to assume that I know more than the Tesla engineers. Tesla is renowed for cuting costs whereever possible. They wouldn't specify a new bolt, which would force them to cough up the cost of a bolt for every warranty replacement of a yoke or wheel, unless they truly believed it...

I think that pull for flashing high beams should be the way it works, because that is pretty much the standard on other cars.

Perhaps I missed it, but I haven't yet seen a statement from Teslaunch on how they would update already delivered products. The statement I saw was rather ambiguous, as it could be read to mean they would update the design of products they ship to address any changes Tesla makes.
