OP, did you watch the Mobile Tech disable the radar from the frunk, or did they remove the front bumper to get to it? Personally, I'm fine with them doing it from the frunk, but I don't want them messing with the bumper.

I don't work for Tesla, all the info I have is from things posted publicly. Check out @greentheonly on Twitter. He has a handful of recent Tweets about this situation. He suggested several times that Tesla will (likely) offer retrofits to enable Steam on 2021/early 2022 Model S/X

Rumor has it that Tesla might offer free MCU retrofits for 2021 and early 2022 S/X

Release notes say "Note: This feature is available on Model S & X (year 2022+) with 16GB DDR memory, and requires Premium Connectivity."

They switched from 8gb to 16gb of ram and from 128gb to 256gb of storage in mid-February I believe

They started installing 16gb RAM in mid Feburary I believe

What are everyone's thoughts on Tesla enabling Steam only on the mid-2022 Model S vehicles? Didn't they promise this for all refreshed Model S in marketing material? Free MCU retrofit coming?

Seems like it is only for mid-Febuary+ cars. Will earlier cars get a MCU retrofit? I'm curious.
