Tow truck driver - disable alarm?

Arrived home at my apartment garage to find a tow truck driver hooking up a Tesla Model X that was illegally parked (it actually wasn't but that's another story). The wrecket driver had already setup the rear wheels and hooked up the front wheels - so he was doing it right so all 4 wheels would...

"Proactive" 12v battery replacement - good idea or overkill?

Adding a bit more info...despite other users here claiming to know what I should or shouldn't have done and having the prescience to know what will happen when I went back to Tesla to get this issue resolved... Tesla mobile service was great for this request. Arrived on time, very efficient and...

"Proactive" 12v battery replacement - good idea or overkill?

Adding my experience with my 2019 Model 3 LR AWD purchased August 2019. The original 12v died after just before the 2 year mark of ownership. I had around 20k miles. It had just enough juice to allow me to open the frunk...then died hard. What was really annoying is I received no warnings that...

Recommendations for Tire Shop in San Jose/Silicon Valley Area?

Time for some new tires for my 2019 M3 LR.... Looking for recent recommendations for a tire shop around the San Jose, CA / Silicon Valley area...

Need to get tires rotated, suggestions? [in NorCal]

I'm in San Jose, CA - so just a bit south from San Francisco/Berkeley. I made an appointment through the Tesla app for mobile service. The service guy arrived on time (texted me when he was close), checked the treadwear, rotated the tires and adjusted the air pressure. Took about 20-30...

Road Trip from SF Bay Area to Denver

I did not try using autopilot or TACC during the really bad conditions. I did observe that the lane markings on the display appeared to be fairly consistent. There were a few times when the snow was blowing particularly bad that the lane markings - especially the right lane which was the...

    Windshield Replacement

Responding to a couple of questions... Never got a quote from Safelite. When they said it would take 2-3 weeks (at best) to get the windshield from Tesla I gave up on them. By the way, they explained that in the past they were able to quickly - like same day - obtain windshields from local...

    Windshield Replacement

Was unlucky enough to catch a good sized rock while driving on the freeway. It created a significant bullseye crack and skipped up about 3-4 inches causing another crack. I first contacted Safelite. I uploaded the same photo attached to this thread and they determined that a repair was not...

Road Trip from SF Bay Area to Denver

Just to relate a quick experience... I have a 2019 Model 3 LR AWD. This past week I took a road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area to Denver following Interstate 80 through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming then down into Colorado. I have the stock 18" Aero wheels and Michelin OEM tires (not all...

    Phone call echo

Typically, when I call others from my car (2019 M3 LR AWD) it is perfect on both ends. This includes iPhone to iPhone. However, I did experience a severe echo problem a short time ago. I had been waiting in a parking lot and started watching a Netflix show on the touchscreen. No problems...

    Excellent Tesla Service

I've had one SC experience (replaced a failed A/C condenser) and a couple of mobile ranger visits - one recently for a tire rotation ($39). In all cases the communication was excellent and timely. The service was completed as promised with no problems. Well done Tesla.

Tesla Service - not all terrible....

I've read several threads and posts about terrible experiences with Tesla service. I sympathize with Tesla owners that have to endure the bad service - it must be crazy frustrating. But it's not always terrible.... My experience: 2019 Model 3 LR AWD - ~14,000 miles. Located in San Jose, CA...

Tesla Service - still a complete joke?

Understand that experiences vary but... I recently needed service on my M3 LR AWD. The A/C condenser failed late Friday afternoon. I got a hold of Tesla service rep on the phone. The service rep was very helpful and friendly. They had me try a few things - reboot, etc. No luck. They also...

    Evasive action - FSD only?

I'm sure most of you have seen videos of Tesla's taking impressive evasive action to avoid a collision. I've seen dramatic breaking and also swerving briefly into another lane or the shoulder. Are these actions only available using NOA with FSD? Or, will the car respond similarly with...
