My brand new (December 2023) Model Y from Fremont doesn't have one under the center console; I looked in both sides. I did find the blue plug in the back of the center console. I haven't looked in the A pillar yet.

I drive between LA and Sacramento a few times a year. I've never had an issue outside of the main holiday travel days. Don't worry about it.

Because the market is just still too small. Somewhere around 1-2% of the new car market is BEVs. If you want a niche vehicle, you will have to wait for market maturity.

This happens all the time. Wheels get bent some times. It happens. I've had it happen with multiple cars, motorcycles, etc. Sometimes you hit something and don't realize it. Just get the wheels fixed and move on.
