Anyone try B.A Design works speakers/sub upgrades?

Thank you! I am currently doing a Tesla from Huntington Beach, California. It has been done before!

New firmware causes MCU to reboot frequently due to aftermarket audio?

Nothing from the screen is touched during installation. The only connection in the car that is modified or touched, is the speaker output out of the OEM amplifier. So nothing is unplugged or modified during the installation. And given that we know the issue surfaced right after a firmware...

New firmware causes MCU to reboot frequently due to aftermarket audio?

So considering this is a software issue and it started right after an update, there is no other question. Any aftermarket system would get it's signal AFTER the factory amplifier. Which insures that communication between the MCU and amplifier are uninterrupted. All data functions exactly as it...

Here is the latest Musaic Audiophile Designed Audio System *Build Log*

This client made the trip 200 miles to take care of his audio system in his Tesla. Knowing we have done quite a few, he gave us the opportunity to design something special for him. In the front we used a set of Illusion Carbon C6 Components. They are housed in a hand fabricated PVC adapter to...

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

Apt X HD can far surpass cd quality. CD Quality is 16 bit, 44kHz. Apt-x HD can transfer at minimum 24bit /48kHz. With AMAS 2 we can play DSD, 32bit , 384kHz files which are far superior resolution to 16 bit / 44kHZ. With my iPhone, I transfer my hi-res files to apple lossless AAC. So I can...

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

So in this system, listening through the Tesla radio would be the equivalent of watching a DVD (non bluray on a 4k system). You were not even getting 50% of the total quality experience the equipment has to offer. The factory radio has a lot of inputs that have to be summed and level matched...

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

What do you mean by "when the input song was overboosted" ? I am not sure what that means. I would also like to know what preset, what source, what track, and is it compressed? How are you locking into the rear? When I tune the rears, they are time delayed about 8ms away from the front and are...

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

Wow, so if you think that EQ curve sounds good, just wait until it is set up and tuned properly. Must have sounded unbearable before. Breaking in is still a thing, as the speakers properties will change after some playing, which is why I always offer a free retune after a month or so.

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

Do you have the OEM UHFS system...because if not the mid range in your recently replaced Focal Flax speaker would sound horrible. That is a really bad curve.

Std Audio Speaker Upgrades - Recommendations?

Your picture of the RTA showing the input is the exact reason you CANNOT swap speakers in a modern car and expect it to sound good. That front stage has a dramatic change in eq points across the entire spectrum. Your RTA shows 20 dB swings from the midrange to high end. The reason the...

Is this the best sounding Tesla?

I have a customer from Houston, TX shipping his P100D next month. :)

Is this the best sounding Tesla?

What happens is once it hits the top of the hinge, the weight creates torque and it starts to close. I have seen it on the Model S trunk with to much sound dampening.

Is this the best sounding Tesla?

Yes, it works both ways. But the Model X provides a challenge with the motorized doors. Adding enough weight to those doors, they will come back down as it gets up to the hinge point (they will think they are being pushed back down). Unless Tesla can reflash the sensor to accept more weight...
