    FSD free trial

I've read that if you're still on 2024.8.9 and subscribe, you'll get FSD 11. Be sure to check that before subscribing to FSD.

    FSD free trial

Day and night driving with FSD 12.4 works well for me. I've not yet tried it on interstate. I'm in a rural area with mostly two-lane roads and it handles those well. Like others, it tends to stop well away from stop signs so it' s a bit concerning. It handed 4-way stops well, taking our turn as...

    FSD free trial

I am finally getting 2024.14.6 which includes FSD 12.3.6. It has been two months since my prior update to 2024.8.9 and I've been looking forward to FSD. I have a short road trip tomorrow so I'll get to try ut out.

How are your 2024 Fremont built Ys so far in terms of interior and external quality?

My '23 MYLR is fine. No problems at all. I got it in Feb 23.

2021 Model Y has suddenly developed an issue with the passenger side mirror

Whenever I have quirks like this in my '23 MYLR, I do the double-wheel reboot. That usually restores the functionality.

I'm also on 2024.8.7 and waiting for the FSD trial. 2023 MYLR (Feb 23 build).

Road Trip Going Through Major Cities - Trunk or Frunk for Security?

I go with the under trunk to the extent possible. The frunk is inconvenient since it's manual and I too out the rear cargo cover. So, for me, the only way to conceal stuff is the under trunk.

    2023 Model y running changes

You can check the version in the car itself. My current software version is 2024.8.4 - you can check notateslaapp.com for details regarding that release's features. Keep in mind updates are made available automatically and the owner decides when to install them. I got my 2023 MYLR in January...

    Goodyear Eagle 1 tire damage

I had the same problem. A coal roller forced me off the road and into a curb. I had a choice of letting him hit me or me hitting the curb. Severe curb rash and the tire sidewall was gouged like yours. I took the car to two different tire shops locally and both told me that sidewall damage like...

Does anyone know what these are used for?

Those are the bolts that will hold your license plate to the frame. The plastic bits are the screw head covers.

    Wireless charging question

I have a Galaxy S22 with camera bumps on the back, too. I just make sure the phone is resting at the bottom of the wireless charging pad and it works fine. If you have something at the bottom of the charging pad such as chapstick, the phone will be out of position. Kind of unrelated, but I also...

    Model Y trunk not working!!

I have never had this happened to me. However, you may want to try rebooting the car (press and hold both rolling wheels on the steering wheel for a few seconds and the car will reboot). That often resolves other issues and it may work for this too.

VCFRONT_a447 in a 23 MYLR need to go on a quick trip 200+ miles, okay to drive?

This is a great example of why I like this site. I've had my MYLR for a year and am still learning new things quite often from posts here. @tireguy, thanks for taking the time to explain this and educating us.

    New Owner!

Congratulations on your new MY. This site is a great resource for information about all Teslas. Use the search function often. It's likely someone else had the same questions that you will have over the next few months. I've had my MYLR for a year and am still learning new tips and tricks...

Tesla recalls 200,000 vehicles over backup camera glitch

I agree that the term Recall is antiquated, but it's all of the mainstream media, not just Fox News, who loves to trumpet "Recall" for these software updates. They celebrate every chance they get to hate on Musk.
