    2013 S 85 multiple codes and won’t drive

12v battery is probably not your original problem; though it now has been deep cycled which is a stress on it. If the HV contacts won't close to power the car (as is your case with those errors), the 12v battery will completely drain in a matter of hours. That is why you need to keep jumping the...

Model S refresh lifted without jackpads at local shop - battery damaged on edges OK?

Not an expert here, but I'd consider that kind of damage superficial. That shop should be more careful with customer cars though.

204 miles charged and then stops. After charging is complete, battery reads total miles, but during charging, system stops going further than 204, als

I think OP is trying to say the range displayed stops increasing but charging continues. Sounds like a software glitch. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it if it continues charging.

    Charging/Using a US Model S in Europe

I've seen 208V in public chargers many times. (It's a common US 3-phase voltage.) I also have seen 245 in a residential installation; got lucky with the closest transformer I guess. The UMC will take any voltage between about 100V and 250V. The car however will reduce current draw if the voltage...

    Off Topic: Voyagers

The Voyager probe was thought to have been lost in a black hole. So most likely it actually encountered a wormhole.

    Autopilot and Supercharging on a 2013 Model S 60

Late to this thread, but it sounds to me like in Tesla's system your car is marked as a 40kwh software limited car. If I recall, unlocking the 40 to 60 was $10k. (Maybe $12k?) Supercharging was not allowed on 40's, so a 40 would have to be unlocked then purchase the supercharging option. $12,500...

    32amp Vs 48amp?

That's because it says Charging Complete. Check it while it's charging. You could just bump it up to 80% in the app and watch it for a minute or two, then you put it back to 70% after you read your charge rate. (edit) And yes, the wall connector on a 50A circuit will allow charging at 40A which...

    32amp Vs 48amp?

To check your charging rate, just open the app while it's charging; it should say something like 27 mi/hr on the home screen. Check the circuit breaker for that outlet. It could be a 40A or 50A breaker. This is because there isn't a 40A receptacle; so it is allowed to have a 50A outlet on a 40A...

    New tesla owner

I'm still driving my 2013 and have no plans to let it go. My biggest concern for a 2013 with only 4k miles would be the rear drive unit, as already mentioned. Mine was replaced a few times under warranty, but not since the last - well definitely over 100k miles anyway so I must have a high...

    Supercharger - Auburn MA

Off topic but - I wish my app map was in color. Is that an iPhone exclusive feature?

    SpaceX F9 - Starlink Group 6-39 - SLC-40

Out at lunch when a co-worker saw it go. We didn't believe him then turned to see the replay on the establishment's TV.

How to know if its a new replaced battery?

Unlocking it can be done, it'd be at least $10k but I'm not sure Tesla will do it as a policy. You got lucky. My battery was replaced (under warranty) around the same time and I got a 400V 85, the same as my original. It takes almost twice as long to supercharge as yours will. I really wish I...

How to know if its a new replaced battery?

Most likely they software limited the battery so you cannot charge it all the way. On the flip side, you wouldn't have to worry about degradation due to charging to 100% as often as you want since it would actually be something like 80%. What is your range at a given state of charge?

    Low mileage 2015 S85D

I don't think there's anything wrong with the car sitting undriven as long as the SOC is not allowed to fall below 10%. It shouldn't be left below that. I still love my 2013, and I've decided to replace the battery if/when I need to; rather than replace the car. Know the risk of the high price...

    Premium Connectivity

Same here. I don't do much with electronics though. I did replace the IC myself when it bubbled, but I didn't know they replace it when they do the MCU upgrade or I would've put the crappy one back in. Each time I repair a door handle I add the light - the wiring is already there. The infamous...
