Model 3 Performance - Q2/3 2022 LG battery, significantly reduced power at upper end

Nope. People who had cars delivered in December 21 / Jan 22 had AMD based MCU - Tesla even sent notifications out of that their model would have lower range because of it (higher power consumption). Hairpin was delivered from Jan 22 as well.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Yeah....i dunno how those lorries parallel park into a tight spot or reverse into a supermarket bay. Maybe Tesla should install a system of loud beeping or get the boombox to start screaming 'Warning vehicle reversing', whenever we go into reverse.....much like those rear view mirrorless lorries...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car should be able to see out of the rear view mirror.......Model Y all you see is the cross bar, Model 3 all you see is half of everything that's no where near the car. I've said it before, if any car ever needed camera's and sensors, not as a luxury but as...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

Yep it's not a problem parking....so long as it isn't or hasn't been raining. Otherwise you will need to get out and clean the trunk camera for reversing into a tight spot or with a pillar at the end of a bay. Alternatively with x-ray vision you can actually see out of the rear - through the...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

Need to come to the UK and try parallel parking a tesla without sensors and zero rear visibility for anything within a car length to the car. It won't be long before you hit something i can tell you. Ya could always get out and check multiple times as you squeeze into the small space - but don't...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

Anyone who is thinking Vision is going to do as good as or a better job than the USS - is going to be hugely disappointed. Basically everyone with a 2023+ model needs to prepare themselves for functions like park assist to, at best, only work properly during daytime and on dry days. It will...

Model 3 Performance - Q2/3 2022 LG battery, significantly reduced power at upper end

Agreed and it is something i'm going to do next year when the temperatures warm up again. One area where the LG does perform better than the Pan is in colder temperatures. The battery naturally warms up faster (due to higher internal losses), and the different battery chemistry lends it self to...

Smaller and Lighter wheels make you faster, more efficient, and offer better road hazard protection.

I just did a drag test, starting from stop on a significant downhill slope. Surprisingly, there really does look to be a 1g acceleration limit... Best 0-60 I've ever got of course, but you would expect better considering it was a fair downhill slope. My SOC was 70% so I maybe could have gone...

Smaller and Lighter wheels make you faster, more efficient, and offer better road hazard protection.

That's a good point - i've got some roads not far from me that are a good length and inclined.....time for a downhill 0-60 with a dragy to see what happens....

Smaller and Lighter wheels make you faster, more efficient, and offer better road hazard protection.

There does appear to be a 1G limiter that can be seen on dragy charts - however an M3P only pulls 1G up until 45mph on an unmodified M3P, after that it drops off. So there are gains to be had even on the 0-60 - albeit not earth shattering. The impact of smaller lighter wheels is only about a...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

This is the concern with any smart tech - what happens if they go bust, product development is gone, no more software updates - what if bugs surface and it no longer works properly with newer vehicles, Then there is the product warranty - that's now gone. I went with a Zappi for my charger -...

Just to add my 2 cents (pennies) to this conversation... M3P 2022 (UK EUmodel, LG 79 kWh battery which is not as high an output as the Panasonic 82 kWh in US models). FYI, all EU bound M3P's now use the LG battery from Q2 2022 onwards (prior the performance M3 used the same Pan 82 kWh as US...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Aye, the included charging cable is very long and heavy as it's designed to do 32 amp, where all you need is 16 amp for 3 phase as the max the model 3 can do is 11 kW. I've been thinking of buying a short light 2 metre 16 amp cable just for charging at Tesco pod points, only the cost at £130 is...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Never buy a Tesla then, as it will never fully work with the camera tech that's currently in the cars. For their 'vision' to work they need much better camera's, higher resolution but more importantly many magnitudes greater dynamic range along with some form of system to clean off dirt and...
