    Superchargers in Australia

    This is a 'Superchargers in Australia' thread, so I figured an Australian response would be best suited. ;-) (I don't know if any of the V4 contactless payment terminals are live in the US, to find out what the preauth is in the US)

    Superchargers in Australia

    I think most of the pay@pump stations are gone; they want you to use their app now to pay at the pump instead. Or one could say they want you to go in store and play for expensive chocolates and drinks and snacks... (using apps is probably cheaper/safer than pump mounted payment terminals...

    Superchargers in Australia

    For all the moaning and complaining about the preauth amount Evie (and some other networks) have in place, I wonder what amount Tesla will use in Australia. In the UK, the preauth amount is 20 pounds (currently about ~38AUD) In Germany, it's 25 EUR (~41AUD)...

    Superchargers in Australia

    The first Atto 3s were delivered from September 2022 (BYD delivers first customer cars in Australia), and Tesla only started opening up the Supercharger network in January 2023 (Select Tesla Superchargers open for all electric cars in Australia), all of which were V2 units. It wasn't until...

    NRMA fast charging network

    NRMA have a FAQ/writeup on the new roaming setup with Chargefox - mynr.ma/EV-roaming The 10% NRMA member discount at NRMA stations still requires the My NRMA app to be eligible - for now anyway. There's also a bit of tech info behind it;

    ChargeFox EV charging Network

    The Chargefox + NRMA roaming is now officially available for all in the app. https://www.chargefox.com/news/roaming-could-end-ev-charging-app-fatigue Hopefully we see more networks happy to set up roaming so we don't have to suffer with dozens of awful apps and accounts.

    Superchargers in Australia

    Latest update on the BYD Atto 3 & Seals built before the start of this year not working with the V3 and V4 Superchargers, shared on last night's Ludicrous Feed podcast. tl;dr BYD will fix it - it's a hardware issue, and the fix will take about an hour; a replacement resistor and firmware...

    Kerbside pole-mounted chargers are now a thing

    Is it this post? Evie Networks on LinkedIn: We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the NSW Government to… "Evie is the largest and only fast charging grant recipient. " I assume this is based on speed, rather than being DC (as opposed to AC). If Jolt continue to roll out 25kW DC...
