Supercharger Hunting Road Trip to Southern California, Summer 2023

I did a somewhat similar trip about a month ago - in reverse (Southern CA to the Bay Area and Napa, using mostly 101). In fact that was my first road trip since taking delivery of my Model Y LR in March. As a newbie I haven't advanced to making a sport out of finding Superchargers, but used them...

    auto wipers

Wiper Issue Resolved??? A couple of weeks ago I complained about being unable to shut off the windshield wipers when in Cruise Control (and conversely, their failure to work on a few occasions when it would have been appropriate). It appears that a recent software update has cured the problem...

    TPMS warning hours afterdriving

Thanks for the info. Turns out the TPMS was indicating the wrong wheel. It had me checking the left front - when in fact it was the left rear that has the problem. Yep -it is a nail, and I found it by looking at the tires. I will try the TPMS Reset after I get the tire fixed. Dave

    TPMS warning hours afterdriving

Took a short drive this evening. Tire pressure went down to indicated 22 PSI at my destination, then to 21 PSI on return home. Gauge still reads 40 PSI (normal, and no change). Dave

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

Tapping the brake pedal to disable Cruise Control. Then just drive as you normally would without it.

    TPMS warning hours afterdriving

I'm not sure if this thread applies to me or not. I got a low pressure warning (25 PSI) for the left front while the car was parked and charging last night. Nope - checked the tire with a gauge and it is 40 PSI like the others. Haven't moved it yet (nor done anything else), so don't know if it...

    auto wipers

Wish I had your problem - mine is the opposite Wipers start for no apparent reason in dry weather when using Cruise Control - and I can't turn them off. Conversely, they won't work when they should sometimes as well (once again using Cruise Control). However, I CAN turn them on in that case...

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

On my car (about a month old now), "Autosteer" (Beta) is a separate function within "Autopilot" that one can turn on or off at will. As previously mentioned, I haven't tried it yet (saving that for a road trip - which I haven't had the opportunity to take). As for "Car Following", IMHO that is a...

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

If that is so then why does not using the wipers (auto or not) resolve the issue? The wipers don't quit even if you do a full windshield wash (actually the first thing I tried). Anyway, today I cleaned the glass in front of the camera(s) - but it made no difference. As soon as I got on the...

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

Update: Terminology issue. Anyway, I haven't tried the "Autopilot" yet. Have mostly been driving to work and back plus a few trips to nearby cities. Will save that for a road trip. Anyway, I have an update on the Wiper problem. Hadn't noticed it for a few days - but it was back today. There...

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

Just to clarify: the wiper problem occurs when I use Cruise Control (which is just about every time I drive it). Don't have Autopilot on my car - and probably wouldn't use it if I did. The only thing I have done so far is to clean the windshield in front of the cameras. That does seem to help -...

Is it madness that wipers can't be controlled by the driver on cruise control or autopilot mode?

New Model Y owner here... This wiper problem is the craziest thing I have ever seen. Whenever I am using Cruise Control (which is frequently), the wipers are likely to start working despite no moisture being present. It has happened in the pre-dawn darkness and when the sun is shining. No...
