that would be helpful. I hear the final version of the new red is darker than the version you see in the list of photos here, essentially closer to signature red.

I think the red car at the Motor Trend COTY award was the new red. I would not say that it's darker, but perhaps brighter with a bit more orange. It's more like a Ferrari red.

My configuration specialist told me that the MT COTY car is the 2013 red. He also said that it would be a 3 month delay in my delivery

Two shots of a grey card with 2013 Red color board that had just come in to the White Plains store. First is with a Signature red board (yes, it looked that brown in person) and second is just with grey card to its right. These were taken under skylights in the atrium of the mall when there was a heavy overcast sky. In person the 2013 red was not quite as bright as it appears in the 2nd shot on my monitor, but I suspect it will be at least that bright in full sun.

I have reduced the resolution to 1/8 of original.

Delicious red! Are they going to give it a proper name other than just red?

My delivery specialist refers to it as 2013 Red. Pretty prosaic.

More poetic, Flame or Madder. Corvette already has Magnetic Red. They could go the Apple route with New Red. Or prophetically, Ticket Magnet Red. Personally I would prefer something with a little more pop, say Kick S Red, but somehow I don't see Tesla going with that one.

Don't care what they call it, just love it, especially now that my change from blue to red has been finalized and April/May delivery is looming.

Did some checking and this color appears close to PMS 186. I'll be visiting the Tesla store in DC on Monday, so I'll take some PMS samples with me to check the match.

I first saw this red on one of the two cars on stage at the Motor Trend MOTY event in New York City. It was what set in motion my desire to change from blue to red. Like you, I've never had a red car or planned to have one. But this red... The Design Studio does not do full justice to the color.

1. Is this different from the "Sunset Red" people saw on the Get Amped Tour?
2. Is the red more like a Ferrari red and less like the deep red in the design studio?
