    Neil Armstrong

Very sad news about Neil Armstrong passing away at 82. A personal hero of mine - and I'm sure of many on this group.

+1. I recall watching the moon landings on TV.

I recorded that landing on my 'state of the art' tape recorder. I still have that little reel of tape.

My family went to his "Welcome Home!" parade in Wapakoneta, OH, not too far from where I grew up. A boyhood hero.

It’s also worth noting that Friday’s blue moon coincides with the memorial service of Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon. Here's to pioneers!
