Most Appropriate/Inappropriate/Funniest TMC Banner Ad's

Now we have the top banner Ad's, I mentioned elsewhere that I've been amused (maybe it's just me!) to see banners for Mitt Romney, Chevy Trucks, Toyota and Mercedes. Seeing as they change with great frequency there must be more great/terrible marketing banners coming our way and so I started this thread.

Here's one that made me smile:

Yeah, it's unclear to me how much those have to do with page content or the viewers search history. At one point I was researching vinyl wrist bands to identify competitors for a taekwondo tournament. We ended up just going with a hand stamp, but I had vinyl wrist band ads for two weeks here and everywhere else. Once I think someone complained about getting Russian escort ads... and well I don't think we had anything to do with that. Mostly I'm just seeing Chevy Volt, EVSE, and solar ads. I did see one Romney ad, though.

If you want to change your ads, search (pick your engine) and click links for random stuff that is pleasing to your eye. For a week or two, you'll see those ads almost exclusively. Even if you turn off cookies, there are trackers server-side for your IP in various forms. At least, it sure seems that way. It's definitely not TMC-specific.

Here's an example test.

1. Open bing.com in browser
2. Search for "beach vacations"
3. Ctrl-click every link on page 1 (open in new tab)
4. Go to page two and repeat it
5. Close the browser (all tabs)
6. Open a new browser, navigate to teslamotorsclub.com
RESULT: Here's the first advertisement that popped up:

This is the first Carnival or vacation advertisement I've seen for at least 3 months.

Sure it's not a proof, but it's a very strong correlation.

After two, it started reverting back to the ones that I've been seeing for the last two weeks or so.
