Most of the folks there are hard-core EV'ers... As in, they build their own. I met Gary, John, and others on their board.
I got the impressin that they are OK with Tesla owners, but since there are so few, the Tesla owners tend to get overwhelmed when asked to bring their cars to so may events. Tonight, I counted about 6 custom built EVs, and about 14 Nissan Leafs (Leaves?). The group seems to have a strong focus on promoting that EVs are going to replace ICE vehicles, it's just a matter of time. I really enjoyed hearing about the groups 300-mile one-way trip to John Day, OR, ia fleet of Leaf-ranged cars... in a part of the country where DC quick-charging simply isn't there.
Sadly, I had to leave only after a few minutes for another committment.
