George Clooney selling his Tesla Roadster to support Sudan charity | Fox News
The car is expected to fetch between $100,000 and $125,000, about what it cost when it was new. The Tesla Roaster went out of production last year and has been succeeded by the Model S sports sedan, deliveries of which began in June.
"Trophy car"Clooney purchased the car in 2008... has just 1,700 miles on the odometer ...
It would have been better for the planet if it was actually used rather than taking 4 years of battery decay for nothing.

A lot of that came from the LA store who saw that it needed miles so employees drove it for a few weeks..

GC's purchase of a Roadster was in every article about the car and company for years. Branding magic.

Apparently GC is a Ferrari collector. Tesla got a lot of great mileage out of him. Remember he has to give permission for them to use his name. They were nobody(like Tango) when they sold him their eight car so the attachment of a high profile celebrity is a huge thing for sales, whether you and Loyd think it has merit or not.
