i went to push the button to turn it off in my test drive (hawthorne/la) and the co-pilot practically jumped out of her seat saying 'no' don't do that, i canceled the request at the confirmation prompt. i really wanted to feel what it was doing. cause i like it off in my bmws. but, will have to see how they implemented it...
Yeah, I asked if I could turn off the traction control to see how it drifted in turns (DC event). So what do we know?
Anyone drive with it off?
Where is the switch?
Drifting?
I'm kind of surprised they didn't disable the TC setting when they set up the ~75mph limit.

Why? You could spin the car out at 5MPH by stomping the accelerator while turning a corner.
... The burnout videos going around seem to me to be something you outgrow at about 18.
Watched in in HD a few times. I think they're both spinning.
...
As for a reason to disable traction control, ...
I would think TC would give better off-the-line times.
Better off the line times, but not better times through a corner.
