Hi guys. I'd love to get your thoughts and input on a local activism site that I launched a few months ago. The concept is to convince local powers-that-be to attend to "tasks" of interest to citizens by donating to charity on the tasks' behalf. It's an experiment. I don't know if it's possible to convince local governments and businesses to act based on this external pressure, but I figure it's worth an honest try.
I saw the great press that Elon Musk and Dan Neil got out of their friendly wager that benefited Doctors Without Borders, so I put together a blog entry that pays tribute to that and introduces the concept of the site, which is named Brian's Taskforce.
Take a look. I welcome your thoughts. Thanks!
