I'm lucky enough to have covered parking. That being said .. I've had a sun roof on my last 4 vehicles. Always closed the shade. However, most of the time I had to keep the shade closed when driving because the sun was too hot and bright. Not even noticeable with the pano. It is highly coated and you barely notice the sun (although it was 10:30am). But I have dropped my objections about a pano without a shade.
Nonetheless, sun roof or not, leave any vehicle in the sun and that baby is gonna cook.
I rode at around 12:30 pm, and the sun was shining straight down on us through the pano roof. I looked up to get a feel for how bad it would be. I didn't notice it at all -- the glass was actually on the cool side, and the cabin temp was perfect. I assume I'll end up rarely using the sunshade because it was a very strong tint preventing the brightness from coming in, and heat wasn't an issue at all.
I agree with Arnold. I drove around 1:30 and it was very hot outside and I didn't even notice the pano roof being an issue. It blocked the heat just fine. In my opinion, it is a MUST option.
On more observation. The white one that I testdrove had the carbon fibre spoiler. I thought it was cool.
Here you can see the brake lights at the top.

Link to video of my test drive. Of note at 12 minutes in is floored acceleration going up hill. Brown, NON- performance version.
After reading most of this forum, and watching so many videos myself before, I have to say I felt I already knew what to expect. The most thrilling feeling is the quiet rush of acceleration - like taking off in jet airplane without the noise!![]()

Great video XHawk. So we didn't have the option to drive a non-performance model here. Were you satisfied or even excited with the acceleration in your drive? Would you opt for the Performance? The performance version I can speak to is mind blowing, but I'm thinking I'd be more than happy with 5.6 acceleration too.
Such is the Performance / cost issue dilemma for so many of us, as we wait.
