ABG First Drive: Hitting the road in the Tesla Roadster!
Arrrg! One of my biggest interior wish list items! At what point does the need to have the car ASAP get usurped by the desire to have a more refined model?The Tesla interior crew is currently working on a revised dashboard that will support a double-din head unit with a larger screen.

I think Sam is being a little overzealous in describing this as a planned change. I would say it is something we want to do, but there is a long way from here to there. We may not be allowed to make such a change without significant re-crash testing and interior passenger/airbag testing.
If you already have a 2008 roadster reservation, I would hold on to it. I think 2008 models will be very valuable.
