What is a PEM.
My research led me to Wikipedia
PEM may stand for:
- Peabody Essex Museum
- Pediatric emergency medicine
- Photoelastic modulator
- Polioencephalomalacia
- Polyelectrolyte multilayer
- Porous European Mix – a type of asphalt used on roads and airport runways, commonly referred to as PEM
- Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS)
- Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS)
- Positron emission mammography
- Privacy Enhanced Mail
- Protein-energy malnutrition
- Proton exchange membrane or Polymer Electrolyte Membrane – as in "fuel cell", applications include use in proton-exchange fuel cells, used to manipulate hydrogen for energy conversion
- The IATA code for the Padre Aldamiz International Airport in Puerto Maldonado, Madre de Dios, Peru
- Pemberton railway station, England; National Rail station code PEM
- Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
- PEM nut Self Clinching nut - commonly referred to as 'PEM'
All I gathered from other posts was that it was black and pretty expensive.
Am I dumb? Please educate me.
Thanks

Hi Johann, and welcome! Thanks for trying to find the answer on your own first, that's appreciated. I've found that if I add 'electric car' or 'EV' to the word I'm searching on, I have more targeted results. Try this link: HowStuffWorks
There is also a spot here on the forum where some of the basics are explained: Tesla Motors Club - Enthusiasts & Owners Forum FAQ Pretty soon you'll be the one answering questions.
