I do believe you need more posts before you can have a signature.

As AnOutsider says, you need to have at least 5 posts. After that, the My Profile link on the top right will be enabled for you (no more "access denied" error) and you'll be able to configure the signature and your avatar there.

Go to the top of the page and click "Settings" and then on the settings page click "Edit Signature." You can add the countdown html to your signature.

I didn't have the "Edit Signature" option with just 5 posts. But once I posted the previous message in this thread (and another post in another thread was approved by the moderator), it showed up. Thanks!

I have enough posts; but somehow can not make the signature countdown work-think I have fixed it. Thanks
