So I have been on the official Tesla forums for a while, but I decided that I should finally come check out where all the action is.
I have been interested in the Model S for a really long time, and I finally made a reservation last November. That gives me a pretty late reservation sequence number, general production #5,697. I really regret none reserving a lot sooner. I really should have, given that you could back out and get a refund at any time, but for some reason I had it in my mind that I had to see the car in person before I could plunk down $5000.
I hoping that I'll still be able to take delivery this year given that I'm going to get the 85kwh battery and other options that might help me jump ahead of others. Tesla reps have told me that I should be able to take delivery this fall, but I think they were really just trying to put on an optimistic face.
