The Mercedes auto system is quite nice, three 'auto' positions for how aggressive you want it to be. We often forget we've left it in the auto position (as opposed to off) during winter until it starts drizzling and the wiper goes just as I'm about to reach for the stalk. There are lighting situations which confuse it when it's misting lightly, and it will run the wipers before it needs to.

If Tesla is using the Mercedes system, it's a good thing.

My Escalade Hybrid (sounds like an oxymoron) has auto wipers and they work flawlessly. I also have auto bright lights, which has never failed to light up and dim at the exact moment I would have manually initiated them. The auto bright isn't in the Model S, which disappoints me, but it's not that big of a deal, just I nice feature missed by Tesla.

    Thank you, Teg.
And here I thought TEG was a bot. I guess I should get more social in my requests...

"TEG, can you link a picture of a cute puppy in the driver seat of a Model S?"
    instead of
"/teg-request driver seat, puppy, model s"

    <3 TEG...

Why does posting "TEG" get converted to "teg" *after* clicking Submit/Save?

Update: Weird. It only does it if your full post is short I guess ("<3 TEG" => "<3 teg").

I figure it's a forum software feature to prevent shouting few letter words at each other.
