Bicycles: Cheaper, faster, safer, than a Segway!

And the plants I work at (that have large distances to cover inside) typically use pedal tricycles. I found out this was due to their insurance and bicycle crash coverage.

Agree 100% . One of Tesla's most valuable assets is their employee base. And I can personally attest that the Tesla-excitement applies to the assembly-line workers I've met and to the shuttle bus driver (hi James!) and to all the great folks I've met in the last year and half of dealing with Tesla. Not a single one was less than enthusiastic about their employer and the future.

I've been impressed to the point that I have brought up the Tesla culture at the office - you can't just hope that it happens. It's worth learning more about.

I like this because I can't ride a bicycle. I've considered getting a trike or a velomobile, but I don't think I'd actually use it enough to be worthwhile. But in a situation like this I'd ride a trike before anything motorized.

The packages are on par and in some cases better then other companies. I can say they are better than my current work place. Hey TM... hire me so that I can enjoy those perks. lol

Not so much about benefits, but this pic says something about corporate culture:

    No safety shields (glasses) either!

They make you take off watches and wedding rings in food plants!

This was disheartening to see. Most tech centric places I've worked let employees coordinate things like this (chess, NCAA basketball pools, etc) as it's all part of team building and morale. There's a line between working hard and respecting human nature. I'm not sure Elon groks how most of us normal humans function.

Coming from many years in a lab environment, sometimes you just need that closer look.

(Just don't get stuck looking like the emoticon!).

    Very odd.

Two employees were talking about the company BBQ the the LA drive the other day. In the breakroom there were trophies from a gocart track event and employees are allowed to check out cars for day or weekend. Roadster and Rav4 and how about the 6 Model S' at Refuel?

    Chess?

The world loves to be deceived.
