For those Australian and New Zealand TMC lurkers not on Tesla's mailing list, I got this e-mail from Jay McCormack yesterday.
There is quite a bit of news about upcoming Australian Get Amped tour.

    2013 AUTOMOBILE OF THE YEAR

Model S is revolutionary. Not only as the world’s first premium electric sedan, but as a performance
driver’s car. Through these characteristics our clear focus has been to deliver a vehicle so remarkable that it
sets a new benchmark for the automotive industry. Today we can celebrate this achievement with Model S
being chosen as winner of AUTOMOBILE Magazine’s most prestigious award, "Automobile of the Year".
Model S impressed a highly discriminating team of editors and writers to beat some of the world’s most
critically acclaimed and historically dominant brands. In their words, Model S “blew them all away.”
Elon Musk said “Winning AUTOMOBILE Magazine’s ‘Automobile of the Year’ award is an important
milestone for Tesla because it underscores our goal to build a great car, not just a great electric car. It is great
recognition of what we’ve accomplished as a company, and for our customers, so we’re thrilled to receive
this endorsement from one of the industry’s most respected authorities.”

    GETTING AMPED
Over the past months we have been busy delivering test drives throughout North America on our Get
Amped Tour. – some of you have even taken the opportunity to experience this with us in Palo Alto. Now
we are heading down under. Our Australian Get Amped Tour will begin over the coming months and travel
all over Australia. The three stage program will begin with a Technology Component tour of our
rEVolutionary drivetrain and rolling chassis, followed by a Production Display vehicle, Australian Pricing
and finally a Test Drive vehicle for Reservation holder’s to get behind the wheel of their Model S before
    finalizing their specification for production.
Dates and Venues will be advised by the end of the year and will include events and functions as part of the
tour. Additionally, If you have suitable business or venue and would like to host a tour stop, please let us
know and we would be more than happy to work with you on this. It could be a day time gathering with
business colleagues or a special evening with family & friends, so any thoughts you may have are bound to
attract a lot of attention. – after all it is your Model S.

    KEEPING UP-TO-DATE
It has been an exciting few months at Tesla, and it’s only the beginning. From information about production
to our approach to servicing and store roll outs, we want to keep you up-to-date with all the excitement,
latest news, reviews and information. The best way to keep informed is by going online with us at:

Change. As always, if we can answer any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

One in Taupo would do just fine

That would make Auckland to Wellington a breeze

Tuesday 13th November, there will be a 1 hour program on the model S on the History channel.

Wonder when the promised store will be opening in Westfield Bondi Junction? With the announcement of the Aussie get amped tour starting soon one would expect some sort of announcement soonish.
