13 for one segment of the H, I think about 40 altogether.

I don't think they will stop anywhere specific, just that they will start building an H before they start adding many chargers for more specific local reasons.
Buying an EV is one thing, being able to drive it beyond city limits another...

I like how Elon said at the investor meeting that we'd be amazed at what they have to show us for the Supercharger network. I thought they would have announced things by now but looking forward to some official news soon.

    I do

I reposted in the charging speculation thread ... but if they want to really floor people, this would be a good way to do it. Intuition is telling me this may be Elon's ace card.

I had always thought they were staying away from battery swapping since you own your battery. Maybe they'll have a system where you lease the battery you borrow then have to return to pick your own battery back up. But if you're at a supercharging station and can basically fill up in an hour, I'm not sure if makes economic sense for Tesla to also get in the Better Place model of battery swapping.

I agree. I know I'll take care of my battery. I'll keep it charged, charge it in the proper mode for maximal longevity, won't abuse the pack by driving like an idiot, won't drive it until it's drained, etc. I would be very reluctant to swap it out for a pack of unknown lineage unless/until they guaranteed some additional range warranty or something.

That's pretty much what Elon said a year ago: New details emerge on battery swap plans for Tesla Model S

I agree. A battery swap station would be a much bigger investment than a supercharger.
