I was just there last week and charged my car at the Tesla store. So nice to have a public HPC.

Hi. Welcome. I don't think it's been officially decided where Tesla will have their service center in Texas although I'd imagine it would be Houston. They're still working with the legislature on getting approval for a service center in Texas I believe. It's technically illegal for Tesla to sell cars in Texas too which is why the sales people in Houston can't talk to you about selling the car, just about the car. They point you to the website where you place your order.

You buy the car in California and get a title from there too if I remember correctly. You pay Texas sales tax though which is less so that's good news.

I am only a Model S res holder, and dont own a Roadster.

Thanks gkalexdc. There are a lot more people in Houston with Roadsters than have not yet posted in this sub forum though but I'm sure the numbers will skyrocket once the Model S gets into more hands.

Houston gets two more Model S deliveries October 5th (mine plus one more) and Austin gets another October 6th (from another truck). Deliveries are accelerating for sure.

Congrats! Now, we need to get some more traffic here in Dallas. WPetefish just got his tonight and I am going to visit him tomorrow am. I don't have a clue when mine will be. Maybe Christmas Eve? That would be nice.
