Remember the powder blue color of the first Ford Broncos? Those were the mine vehicles at a mine I worked at in Death Valley. A new surveyor had scratched his up and was worried, not realizing that the mine vehicles were all trashed within a month. I convinced him that if he took a can of white spray paint and blue spray paint and sprayed together, he could cover the scratches.
Swoooopy circles. I'm laughing again, all these years later. I bet he's telling the same story somewhere.
