I think people need to quit expecting Tesla to surprise them with early deliveries.

GG, I am 1456 and I got a Nov/Dec date. I wonder if it also depends on when you eSign the agreement. I signed mine on Saturday and received counter signed doc today (Monday).

Would be easier to do if Tesla didn't state they would hit 500 deliveries in the third quarter and 5000 by the end of the year

Hmm... interesting. Yes, my wife and I wasted no time at all in getting it all done within 3 hours of receiving the configure email

I wonder if it may have a little to do with (the buyer's) location too vs-a-vis the factory?!

Nov/Dec vs solid-Nov may be okay but, Dec/Jan (as in raptorweb's case) could make a big difference given the tax credit angle.

Well, if 2112 (85kwh, perf) is delivered in January, there is no way that Tesla will hit 5,000 sales in 2012. Not even 3,500.

If it will be difficult to take care of later, better take care of it now.

The delivery dates are probably (though not certainly) on the "safe side". The difference between 3,300 and 5,000 is just one month of full production.

Besides, I hope we are not repeating something like last month. Consider patience a virtue.
