The door frames have been stamped so far

I was seriously hoping for something more cutting edge from Tesla on this production status front. This is no better than what BMW and Mini had been doing for years - with those, there was the added fun of getting the merchant ship (that was carrying the car from Germany or England) number and tracking its progress on the high seas all the way to Oxnard or Houston

Roadster experience: there were 7 or 8 steps officially, but the website status would stick on one and then suddenly jump 3 or 4, sometimes it didn't get updated at all and sometimes it jumped all the way from reserved to delivered. You can search around in the Roadster section and find some stories. Back then however buyers were small in number and got regular verbal and email updates from Sales Staff and Customer Advocates.

It doesn't look (so far) as if Tesla has improved on their old system.

    Which one is mine?

That's cool. How did you get a private tour?

We bumped into our former store manager, who has since received a well-deserved promotion to regional manager. He arranged for a tour for our small group of Florida club members.

    Congrats efusco!!
So I guess this confirms that they are going after the R list first rather than Canadian Sigs.
Maybe the homologation for Canada is taking longer than expected (and still no pricing info for our friends up north!).

I thought Canada was always going to be 3 months behind? Though I'll be damned if I can find anything to corroborate that via Google...

Edit: Found it, Model S | Frequently Asked Questions | Tesla Motors

When will a Canadian version of Model S become available?
Production of Canadian Model S vehicles will begin approximately three months after the US start of production.
