Personal in-home delivery old be awesome, but delivering 27 cars a day, seven days a week for the second half of 2012 seems like a crazy huge task. Maybe the marketing and data ollection would be worth it, but the task is massive.

Even if the location that you can run the Ethernet cable doesn't have power, say the eaves of your house or something, you can also buy a wi-fi router with POE (Power over Ethernet). So all you have going to the router is the Ethernet cable.
You should be able to get someone to set up something that works for around $500-$600 at most.
I think it would be great if Tesla delivers the cars. With only one store in our state (Florida), and some states not having a store, it would mean stopping for a recharge just to drive home a new car.
Take delivery at the nearest Tesla Store or at home. I think that delivery at the Tesla Store w/ a full charge would be -really- good press.

There are routers out there with extended range (check out Amped routers) which you could use if you have poor or no signal now
