The ending just got happier! Yesterday I dropped #1135 off for service in Seattle. As I pulled in, I was surprised to see #1124 in there as well. For privacy reasons I won't comment on the new owner or plans, but I think the end of this story looks like 1124 is not lost!

Any accident you can walk away from is a good one... Applies to airplanes and roadsters.

Having walked away from a 150 in worse shape than this poor roadster, i wholeheartedly disagree that there can be a 'good one'

Yeah, I guess the damage looked bad on the outside, but the important chassis components were still in relatively good shape.
I suppose with all that body damage, they could just pull off all the red panels and put another "color" on instead...

I was just wondering the other day-- how many Roadsters have been truly totalled (permanently lost to the driving population)? Sounds like another data mining project for the incomparable TEG...

Most of the 'totals' I tried to track eventually were resurrected...
I suspect the number that are completely gone is actually fairly low.

So is there anyway to acquire these uses parts? Like interior pieces and such? Or a certain wrecking yard that picks up just the tesla's ?
