So, what's the latest thinking for Model S wait times for those getting their deposits in now? Fall 2013? Later? Finally have the wife interested, but she likes her instant gratification.

Maybe we can trade. I have #294 but my wife is still not on board. Sad. At least for me.

I just read on Forbes that Tesla has 3,000 Model S deposits and that sounds low to me. I thought I read recently that they have over 8,000 deposits. Does anyone here know how many have been reserved so far?

Where the heck are you investing money that would have doubled in the past two years?!? Forget buying Teslas, you need to start a mutual fund.

I was willing to park $5,000 with TM because I was only earning 0.1% in my brokers money market account.

See my avatar for what I invested in that doubled in the past two years. I was hesitant about putting down 5k as I could be investing but I also want to lock in the price of the 2012 Model S in case inflation due to "quantitative easing" kicks up the price for the 2013 models.
